Refund & Cancellation Policy

The Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) follows a structured and transparent fee policy for admissions, registrations, and academic services. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which payments made to the institute are processed or retained.

Applicants and students are advised to read this policy carefully before making any payment through the admission portal or other authorized channels.

SECTION 1 – APPLICATION / REGISTRATION FEES

The application and registration fee paid during the online admission process (₹500 / ₹300, as applicable) is non-refundable. This fee is charged towards administrative processing, application evaluation, and institutional resources involved in handling admissions.

Once an application is successfully submitted, requests for refund of the application or registration fee shall not be considered under any circumstances.

SECTION 2 – ADMISSION CONFIRMATION AND PROGRAMME FEES

The refund policy shall be applicable as per the guidelines of UGC / JNU, New Delhi.

  • A candidate who has been provisionally admitted may cancel admission by submitting a written cancellation request within the prescribed time.
  • Applicants must ensure their eligibility before applying. If the portal does not detect ineligibility, the responsibility remains with the applicant.
  • Refund requests will be processed only after confirmation of admission through payment of the prescribed course fee and submission of required documents.

FOR ALL ELIGIBLE REFUNDS, THE INSTITUTION SHOULD DEDUCT RS. 6,000 AS PROCESSING FEE.
Refund of Hostel & Mess charges is on pro-rata basis after deduction of user charges after vacating the hostel premises, excluding hostel admission fees.

Important Notes

The commencement date of the academic session 2026–28 is 30 June 2026, which will be considered for refund calculations.
All refund cases will be settled by October 2026.

SECTION 3 – DUPLICATE OR EXCESS PAYMENTS

In cases where a duplicate payment, technical error, or excess amount is paid inadvertently by the applicant, the institute may review the request and process a refund after verification. Applicants must submit valid proof of payment and a written request within a reasonable timeframe for consideration.

SECTION 4 – CANCELLATION BY THE INSTITUTE

If a programme, training, or activity is cancelled by IITTM due to administrative or unavoidable circumstances, the institute may initiate an appropriate refund or adjustment as per institutional norms. The decision of the institute in such cases shall be final.

SECTION 5 – MODE OF REFUND (IF APPLICABLE)

Approved refunds, if any, will be processed through the official banking channels after due verification. Processing timelines may vary depending on administrative procedures and financial regulations.

SECTION 6 – POLICY MODIFICATIONS

IITTM reserves the right to update or modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy in accordance with institutional requirements, government guidelines, or administrative decisions. Any changes will be published on the website and shall take effect upon posting.
